Nice2MEch@ is a project in which participants are invited to chat to artist Giselle Stanborough on various preexisting online social networking services and her own purpose-built website, nice2mecha.com. Participants are then invited to attend one-on-one ‘art dates’ with Giselle at various other Next Wave Festival 2014 events.
The piece aims to explore the role of interpersonal connection in how audiences engage with contemporary art, and how contemporary art can serve to expand our understanding and experience of interpersonal relations.
